Core Features

This section gives an overview of Forecastify's main functionalities that support time tracking, project management, resource allocation, leave planning, and reporting. These tools help streamline everyday operations and improve visibility across teams and finances.

Timesheets​

Track and manage work hours efficiently:

  • Log daily working hours, with optional comments and task references.

  • Switch between weekly and monthly calendar views.

  • View and analyze logged vs. expected work hours.

  • Overtime requests can be submitted directly from time log entries by selecting the appropriate overtime type (e.g., Shift Overtime or Payment). Previously submitted overtime requests can also be revoked.

  • Export logged hours for further use.

  • Supports integration with JIRA.

PTO Management​

Handle paid time off processes from request to approval:

  • Submit new PTO requests with type, date, and description.

  • View PTO balances: total, used, remaining, and reserved.

  • Managers can approve, reject, or request clarification.

  • Admins define custom PTO types, set quotas, and configure holidays.

  • Reports are available for monthly attendance and yearly absences.

User Management​

Control user profiles, teams, schedules, and access.

  • Add and manage user profiles including name, role, area, and seniority.

  • Set competencies and assign users to teams.

  • Define weekly work schedules and locations.

  • Bulk-assign work hours across multiple users.

  • Manage user permissions and login activity.

Projects​

Control project setup, monitoring, and progress tracking:

  • Create new projects with financial and structural details.

  • View dashboards including budget, spending, milestones, and logged time.

  • Assign resources and manage team allocation.

  • Track project KPIs and billing status.

  • Classify projects using categories, warnings, and visual identifiers.

Reports​

Gain insights into performance and compliance:

  • Timesheet reports: review logged hours per user and month.

  • Targeted queries: analyze filtered log data by user, project, or time period.

  • Risk reports: detect missing logs, unknown entries, or unusual patterns.

  • Invoice reports: track paid vs. unpaid amounts across projects.

  • Export reports for finance, HR, or auditing purposes.
